Just a few months after the announcement of the upcoming Robert Eggers Christmas Carol adaptation, which will potentially star Willem Dafoe, another horror director is teaming up with another major star to film the same story. Ti West will direct Johnny Depp as Scrooge in Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol for Paramount. Andrea Riseborough will also appear in this version. This one is supposed to premiere in November 2026; we have no release date yet for the Eggers version, but wouldn’t it be something if we had two Scrooges in theaters at the same time?
