We have four new stills of Kit Harington as Sydney Carton, Francois Civil as Charles Darnay, and Mirren Mack as Lucie Manette from the new four-part series! Go here to see them.
First thoughts:
–They do seem to be playing up the resemblance between Carton and Darnay (as some adaptations have not), but mainly through clothing and hairstyle. Accordingly, Darnay looks a mite shabbier than readers of the novel might expect.
–Lucie’s a redhead, not a blonde!
–I am no period costume expert and will wait for verdicts from those who know the subject better than I do, but so far the costumes look pretty good to me.
