For discussion: Take a look at "Phiz's" original illustration of Mr. Chester and Edward that goes with the previous installment. For those of you who don't have it in your copies, I've pasted it below, courtesy of Victorian Web. What famous story is portrayed in the painting on the wall? How does it relate to chapters 31 and 32 and to the novel in general?

That’s pretty good. I like this illustration, but Edward’s a bit of a girly man. Not that that’s a bad thing.
