Thanks to David Perdue at Charles Dickens Page for this bit of creepiness. All of us would love to hear Dickens himself do a reading, I'm sure — but this, um, well . . . well, look for yourself. I don't think I can do it justice.

    Heheh, I’ve seen these before! I have a link on “Remember” where Dickens is reading either the intro of Uriah Heep or Micawber (I can’t remember which one I linked :P). I have no idea how they make these!!

    I think the recording is from the odd/neat movie I watched for my review of Christmas Carol movies for this blog, the one that had Anton Lesser as Charles Dickens reading his book.
