Pledge Drive: Offer #1

Welcome to the Dickensblog Pledge Drive, where we're raising money to help conserve three of Dickens's manuscripts (and trying to be a little less annoying than PBS pledge drives)! Go here to read all about how this will work.

And here's offer #1:

I will write drabbles (100 words) or double drabbles (200 words) based on Great Expectations. You may specify one or more characters that you want in it, and the mood you want (dramatic, humorous, romantic, etc.). Or, if you prefer, you can leave the details up to me. Drabbles: $2 apiece, double drabbles: $3 apiece. Comment at this post if you want to take advantage of this offer, and please specify whether you'd prefer to pay by PayPal or check. Stories will be posted on Fanfiction.net, and a link will be placed in the comment section here.

    Alright,
For $5 to Gina’s fund, I’ll draw an Egyptian Memorial Stele for Sydney Carton.
    Maybe something along these lines

Which is a picture I did a while ago (think I’ve gotten better since then)
    only more like a stele:

Perfect for making the researchers of the future go WTF!?!
I’ll even mail it to you.

Scrabcake, that is very cool! Thank you! I’ll give it its own post a little later in the week — each offer is going to have its own separate post, to help everyone keep them all straight! 🙂

In honor of chapter 80 of Barnaby Rudge, I would be willing to pay $5 for a sentence of 250 words or more on any Dickens related topic. The only requirements are that it has to be a single sentence and longer than the one in Barnaby Rudge. Characters, topic, mood, etc. are up to you.
I don’t have a PayPal account, so I will be paying by check.

Interesting idea, David! Let me check and see if we’ve got someone that would be willing to write an offer like that.
