‘Great Expectations’ goodies and ‘Two Cities’ tidbits

This Hollywood Reporter story lists a few more cast members for the new bigscreen adaptation of Great Expectations (Ewan Bremner, Tamzin Outhwaite, and David Walliams), though it doesn't say whom they play. It also reports that filming starts next Monday, and has a few details about worldwide rights and distribution.

Meanwhile, Jeremy Mortimer, producer of A Tale of Two Cities for BBC Radio 4, has tweeted a few details about that production:

  • Alison Steadman (best known over here as Mrs. Bennet in the Pride & Prejudice miniseries) plays Miss Pross; Tracy Wiles is Madame Defarge; and Robert Lindsay supplies the voice of Dickens.
  • The production finished recording on September 23.

Robert Lindsay?! I hope they put this radio drama on the BBC website. Can’t wait to see the casting for the main characters…
