Blogger Lance Mannion argues that Jennifer Lawrence's character in American Hustle bears a striking resemblance (an inner resemblance, that is) to Mrs. Varden in Barnaby Rudge. I haven't seen the movie, so I can't say whether he's right. Those of you who have seen it, any opinion on this?
